Our History
This historic property, built in 1840, sits on an acre and a half in a peaceful country setting yet is conveniently located to numerous attractions.
We are on the site of the first Fulling Mill (woolen mill) in Pennsylvania (1860) — one of only three such mills in the entire nation. Originally named “Good's Mill,” the process rendered raw wool into woolen blankets, carpets, and yarn goods by shrinking and beating the fabric, then “teasing” it with a goad to soften the cloth.
Today the property is owned and operated by Duane and Paula Rhodes. It has been passed through the family as a treasured heirloom that they would love to share with you.
